President’s Message:

Welcome to Englewood!

Serving as the 2022 President of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce is a great privilege. Like many of the people here, I came to Englewood and immediately fell in love with the charming town and the friendly residents! This town, even then, was bustling with energy and it was obvious that this was where I wanted to call home and start my business, now in its 18th year.

Our cozy community has a great variety of full-time and part-time residents, as well as vacationers. With our safe neighborhoods and highly rated schools, playgrounds, and parks, Englewood is alluring to so many, including families looking for a great place to raise their children.

Englewood is described by VisitFlorida.com as being… “so lovely that two counties – Charlotte and Sarasota along Florida’s Gulf Coast – insist on sharing in its beauty.” What a wonderful way to convey how unique and wonderful our community is! There really is something for everyone here. From taking a stroll along the many beaches shelling or collecting shark teeth, swimming in the Gulf waters, experiencing our vibrant sunsets, wandering through the multitude of unique stores, coffee shops, or fine restaurants, taking a day on the waters that attract anglers from all over the world, to hiking through one of our many parks or scenic preserve areas, or engaging in the robust heritage of the Native peoples dating back tens of thousands of years.

Englewood has a thriving business community, and your Chamber of Commerce lives by its mission to be, “Dedicated to Leading Economic Growth with a Balanced Voice between Local Businesses, Residents and Tourism that Creates Opportunities for our Community.” As president, I intend to ensure we live that mission in all the things we do as an organization.

The Englewood Chamber hosts and promotes some lively events throughout the year that really showcase how we are all about seriously fun business! Manasota Mystique, our annual signature event, has helped many local charitable organizations over the years it has been held, Let’s Eat! Englewood Restaurant Week allows us to showcase many fantastic eateries in our community, the Chamber Golf Scramble, Englewood Farmers Market, art, beer & seafood festivals, monthly car shows, the Annual Englewood Beach Waterfest, and more. Please learn more about our businesses and our Chamber by visiting us at www.EnglewoodChamber.com or in person at the Chamber Office 601 S Indiana Avenue.

Welcome to Englewood! Whether you are looking for a place to visit, live or build a business, we would love to help you achieve success!

Kathleen Callahan, 2022 President
