Description of Charlotte Community Foundation
The Charlotte Community Foundation is an independent, tax exempt, certified 501(C)3 public charity created by and for the people of Charlotte County, Florida. We are the community’s center for philanthropy. Focused exclusively on the current and emerging needs of Charlotte County, we assist individuals, families and businesses in establishing charitable funds which are then used to provide grants, education, resources and support to local nonprofits.
We make charitable giving easy, efficient and tax-effective, ensuring your gift achieves the greatest possible impact. You tell us how you would like to see grants from your fund focused and we assure that your funds are directed to the issues about which you care about.
About Us
Unlike nonprofit organizations focused on a single cause, the Charlotte Community Foundation exists to improve the entire community. We do so by serving our donors, advocating for philanthropy and supporting other nonprofit organizations.
By working across the community, we are able to gain extensive knowledge of Charlotte County and what makes the community tick — including the needs of our residents, the forces of change and the region’s capacity for growth.
Serving Charlotte County since 1995, the Charlotte Community Foundation connects people who care with causes that matter. Through October, 2016 the CCF has awarded $ 817,921.03 in total annual grants and scholarships.
