Labor Day Family Fun Happening Today
The Chamber is closed today in observance of Labor Day. However, we will be out in the community participating in the Pioneer Day Parade and the festivities that follow at Pioneer Plaza. It’s a great time to celebrate this Englewood tradition. Come enjoy the free family fun until 1pm today!
Hard to believe it’s September, but I couldn’t be more excited! That is because this month welcomes back a popular tradition, “Let’s Eat, Englewood”. Your culinary adventure begins September 10th. Three-course dinners will be available for $42 and 2-course lunches for $22. We also have a couple restaurants offering breakfast deals. This is a great annual event that our residents, visitors and restaurants look forward to every year. Restaurants tell us that during Let’s Eat Englewood, their sales increased by 30%. It’s a great way to support local restaurants, enjoy some new dishes and take advantage of the great deals. See all the participating restaurants and menus on our website. We are excited to announce the Englewood Leadership Class of 2027 at Fun After 5 Wednesday at Abel’s Marine located at 7341 Sawyer Circle, Port Charlotte. Come mix and mingle, enjoy some food and drinks and meet the new class. Members are encouraged to bring a door prize to promote your business.
All are invited to attend the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony this Friday at Veterans Plaza at 641 W. Dearborn Street. The event will serve as a heartfelt tribute to the brave individuals who lost their lives, the heroes who responded selflessly, and a reminder of the unity and strength that emerged in the face of adversity 25 years ago. As we remember this pivotal moment in our history, it is essential to come together as a community to honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and to reflect on the enduring spirit of our nation. The Chamber has teamed up with the Englewood Area Fire Control District, Operation Solid 7, VFW Post 10178, Michael Saunders & Company and HCA Florida Englewood Hospital to put on this ceremony.
Registration is open for Biz@Noon September 16th at The Sandbar Grill & Tiki. Any excuse to head to the Key on company time makes me happy! Plus lunch will be yummy, no doubt. Let’s have some “tiki time” together.
