Englewood Chamber Golf Par-Tee: Not Your Average Golf Scramble
Forget everything you think you know about golf tournaments. The Englewood Chamber Golf Par-Tee is not your average golf scramble. It’s a summer celebration, a networking event, and a party on the course all rolled into one.
Set for Saturday, July 25 at the Rotonda Golf & Country Club – Long Marsh Course, the Chamber is turning the fairways into the ultimate summer bash where business meets fun.
Whether you’re an experienced golfer or have never picked up a club in your life, this event is designed for everyone. Sure, there’s golf involved, but this day is less about your scorecard and more about making connections, building relationships, and having a great time. Think of it as a networking party on the golf course.
The day kicks off with check-in at 7:30 a.m. followed by an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, but once the game begins, players will experience much more than golf. Throughout the course, sponsor tents will be set up featuring food, drinks, games, giveaways, and interactive fun. Add in bar carts, raffles, prizes, and plenty of laughter, and you have an event that feels more like a festival than a tournament.
One of the day’s most exciting highlights will be the Englewood Fire Ball Drop, where the local fire department will use their ladder truck for a one-of-a-kind golf challenge that is sure to draw plenty of cheers.
Team registration includes far more than a round of golf. Each foursome receives golf and carts, commemorative event T-shirts, breakfast, two drink tickets per player, access to a Bloody Mary and Screwdriver bar, lunch served right on the course, and four goodie bags packed with promotional items from fellow Chamber businesses.
First-place winners will receive $100 per player, a trophy, recognition on a permanent plaque displayed in the Chamber lobby, a full-page ad in the Englewood Community Guide, and publicity through the Englewood Sun, WENG Radio, and social media. Second- and third-place teams will also take home cash prizes, trophies, advertising opportunities, and media recognition.
Beyond the prizes, the real value is in the connections made along the way. The Chamber encourages local businesses to purchase a foursome and use the event as an employee team-building outing, a client appreciation day, or an opportunity to invite prospective customers and business connections for a day of relaxed networking. It’s business development without the boardroom. It’s marketing without the sales pitch. It’s relationship-building with breakfast, cocktails, and golf carts.
