Englewood Chamber of Commerce Provides Over $167,000 in Critical Funding to Hurricane Relief Efforts
The Chamber immediately mobilized resources and efforts to provide tangible and effective solutions to those most affected by the hurricanes’ destruction
Englewood, FL — The Englewood Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Englewood community and a substantial contribution from the Lighthouse United Methodist Church of Boca Grande, over $167,000 in critical funding has been provided to individuals and families in Englewood affected by the devastation of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Known for being the “boots on the ground” in the aftermath of disasters, the Englewood Chamber of Commerce once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the community. The Chamber immediately mobilized resources and efforts to provide tangible and effective solutions to those most affected by the hurricanes’ destruction.
The back-to-back hurricanes caused widespread destruction, displacing countless residents and leaving many in urgent need of assistance. The Chamber’s Hurricane Relief Fund was established to address these pressing needs, providing financial aid to support recovery efforts, rebuild homes, and supply essential resources to those most impacted.
“The outpouring of support from our community has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said Doug Izzo, Executive Director of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce. “We are deeply grateful to the Lighthouse United Methodist Church of Boca Grande for their significant contribution, which, alongside the efforts of our local residents and businesses, has made a profound difference in the lives of so many.”
These funds have been allocated to provide immediate relief, including temporary housing, food, medical supplies, and rebuilding efforts. The Chamber worked closely with local organizations and volunteers to ensure the aid reached those who needed it most.
The Chamber would also like to thank the many volunteers, donors, and local businesses who came together during this challenging time. This collective effort has demonstrated the true strength and resilience of the Englewood community.
