Happy Labor Day from your Englewood Chamber
At the Chamber of Commerce, we proudly celebrate Labor Day as a tribute to the dedication, hard work, and resilience of our community’s workforce. This day serves as a powerful reminder of the invaluable contributions made by employees across all sectors and highlights the importance of fostering a supportive and thriving work environment. As we honor the achievements of workers, we also reaffirm our commitment to advocating for fair labor practices and promoting initiatives that support professional growth and economic stability. Labor Day is not just a time to reflect on past accomplishments but also an opportunity to inspire continued progress and innovation in our local businesses. Let us all take this moment to recognize and appreciate the incredible efforts that drive our economy forward and make our community a better place to live and work.

Brew Crew
September 4th – Join us at 8:00am for some business before business at our monthly Brew Crew. This month, Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity will be hosting us in their resale store located at 3949 S. Access Road in Englewood. Chamber Members will have the opportunity to do some informal networking over coffee. This will be just like our Fun After 5 mixers, only it will be in the morning. No registration is required.

9/11 Memorial Ceremony
This year is the 23rd anniversary of the tragic events that took place September 11, 2001. The Englewood Chamber teamed up with Englewood Area Fire Control District, Michael Saunders & Company, Operation Solid 7, VFW Post 10178 to put on a Memorial Ceremony to honor the lives lost and the resilience of our nation. Date: September 11, 2024 Time: 9:30am Location: Veterans Pavilion, 641 W Dearborn Street in Englewood. This event will serve as a heartfelt tribute to the brave individuals who lost their lives, the heroes who responded selflessly, and a reminder of the unity and strength that emerged in the face of adversity. “I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon.” – President George W. Bush. We will never forget.

.Let’s Eat! – Englewood
Let’s Eat! – Englewood is a great annual community event designed to support our member restaurants. This year, the two week-long event is set to take place from September 12th to September 26th. During this time restaurants will have special menus for lunch and/or dinner. They offer a signature dish at a reduced or comparable rate. Dinner is a three-course meal for $36 and lunch is a two-course meal for $19. The purpose is to gain community support for all our wonderful restaurants we love, and to generate business during the slower time of the year. Restaurateurs have told us their sales increase 30% during Let’s Eat! – Englewood. We are still signing up restaurants. You can check LetsEatEnglewood.com for updates as new restaurants and menus are added daily.

I have nothing less than gratitude and respect for the Englewood chamber of Commerce staff and members. They welcomed us with open arms when we moved here and opened our small business. We have since then expanded our business to business communications, vendors, clientele, community involvement and friendships. Who does that? The Englewood Chamber of Commerce does that! Thank you.

Thanks for providing the reminder of your continuing efforts and impact for disaster relief. Many are “back to normal”, more or less, but the Chamber continues to work tirelessly for all. So proud to be a member of the Chamber. You are amazing community leaders.

I’ve lived in many towns up North and involved in many Chambers, but Englewood’s Chamber outdoes them all! The support for the community overall, fun events, and responsiveness to needs and challenges…unparalleled!

Looking forward to the 4th of July in Englewood. The Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary is doing a great job in making this possible with businesses around Englewood.
