What You Don’t Know Can Make a Big Difference for Your Business

You know the old adage, “what you don’t know can’t hurt you”?  Well, don’t tell Mom, but I would have to disagree with that.  If you don’t know what can help you, that in fact can hurt you…or at least not help you.  The Chamber strives to help you grow your business by providing networking opportunities, reaching new customers through our website, social media, newsletter, community guide, events, the Visitors Center along with opportunities for additional advertising.  We support many non-profits, and we work hard to service visitors to our area in order to maintain a strong economy through tourism.  Some things you probably didn’t know about our Chamber:

1. Our weekly newsletter goes out to over 4100 emails.

2. We print 7500 paper maps a year and not a day goes by that someone doesn’t stop by for a map.

3. We see over 8,000 annual guests to our Visitors Center.

4. We can assist with permitting & licensing.

5. We offer various workshops to provide education.

6. We advocate for you on a local, state, and national level.

7.. We recognize excellence in business every year with an awards banquet.

8. Our Executive Director is the tidiest person in the building, and I can run in high heels!

What more do you need to know?  Come mix & mingle with us Wednesday at Michael Saunders & Company and find out!  We will be having some “Fun After 5” at 1200 S. McCall Road-Englewood.  There will be food provided by Farlow’s on the Water, beverages courtesy of Englewood Bank & Trust, Mark Knauf CPA’s Sippin’ Spirits, a photo booth, entertainment and the first opportunity to purchase tickets to this year’s Manasota Mystique, which will be November 5th.  Last year, we sold out in just under 3 weeks, so if you plan to attend, you will want to purchase tickets right away.

The following week, The Hills Country Club in Rotonda West will be the venue for our Biz@Noon and annual Presidents Luncheon.  Chamber President, Kathleen Callahan will present a state of the chamber address to the past Presidents of the Chamber followed by our networking lunch.  Then an additional networking opportunity will be at the Plantation Golf & Country Club on August 25th.  Get triple the exposure as we team up with the Venice and North Port Area Chambers.   Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased on our website at           Www.EnglewoodChamber.Com.

Congrats to “Team Lock”! The foursome from Lock ‘n Key restaurant took home the 1st place trophy in our 2nd Annual Chamber Golf Scramble with a score of 55!  Second place was last year’s champions, Wolverine Aire with a score of 56 and third place was Tailored Inspections with a score of 59.   We are already looking ahead to next year’s golf scramble.  A big thank you to all the participants, supporters and volunteers that helped make it a fun day for all at Long Marsh Golf Club in Rotonda West.

Englewood Chamber is nothing short of outstanding. Events are awsome. I have written business with over 15 local businesses and continue to do so.
