Chamber Putt Putt Event Postponed

| Category News |

The 4th Annual Englewood Beach 9 – Putt Putt is rescheduled for December 12th.  The decision was reached after speaking with each of the restaurant venues and reviewing the number of registered teams.
“The decision ultimately came down to the number of teams registered, ” states Ed Hill, Executive Director of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce, “We ask each of the restaurants to make a significant investment by constructing a unique mini-golf hole, and providing an exciting experience for the participates.  Unfortunately, the number of teams currently registered is not sufficient to support the event.”
Registered teams have the option to receive a refund, or they can remain signed-up for the future event.  The Chamber will contact each of the team captains to learn of their preference.
Previous years have included the participation of more than 120 four-person teams participate.  In keeping with the CDC guidelines, this year’s attendance was limited to 50% of capacity. Hill explained that the current number of entries does not approach the goal of sixty teams.
Other planned changes for 2020 included: the cancellation of the wrap-up party, the elimination of shuttle buses, routing order procedures to provide physical distancing between teams, and before play – each team member was to submit to a contactless temperature check and health screening questionnaire.  If appropriate, these procedures will be in place for the rescheduled event.
