United Way of South Sarasota County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program Provides FREE Federal Income Tax Preparation to Individuals and Families with a Yearly Household Income of up to $74,000. Tax Preparation is Completed by IRS-Certified Tax Preparers and is by Appointment Only.

Using direct deposit is the safest and fastest way to receive your tax refund and economic impact payments. You will need an account number and a routing number from a bank or a credit union to set up a direct deposit.
