Coffee and Conservation
Coffee & Conservation Series
Join us for our monthly Coffee & Conservation series at the Englewood Chamber of Commerce! This free community event brings together local residents, eco-tour providers, and outdoor enthusiasts to learn about vital conservation efforts in our area. Each month, we feature a different topic and expert speaker, with complimentary coffee, iced coffee, and pastries generously provided by Joe Maxx Coffeehouse & Bakery on Dearborn Street.
Event Purpose:
The “Coffee & Conservation” series aims to educate and inspire the community to take action in preserving our beautiful coastal ecosystems. From manatees and seagrass to sharks and native plants, these events provide a unique opportunity to connect with experts and learn how we can all contribute to protecting the wildlife and habitats we love.
Upcoming Topics:
October: Dr. Beth Brady from Save the Manatee Club
November: Bonefish & Tarpon Trust
December: Native Plant Society
January: Special speaker on shark research
February: Kate Rose from the Seagrass Grant in Charlotte County
Each event includes a 60-minute presentation followed by a Q&A session, where participants can engage with the speakers and discuss conservation strategies. Whether you’re a boater, paddler, business owner, or simply a neighbor who loves our waterways, this is a fantastic way to get involved.
