Lemon Bay Conservancy Annual Meeting And Lecture
LBC is excited to announce the first session of our new 2024 Lemon Bay Coastal Seminar Series will take place during our Annual Meeting on January 25, 2024. Speaker Tonya Wiley, Havenworth Coastal Conservation, “The Endangered Sawfish of Florida: Past, Present, and Future”.
The Annual Meeting and all subsequent presentations will be held at the Cape Haze Community Center located at 180 Spyglass Alley, Placida, FL 33946, at the intersection of Spyglass Alley and Spaniards Road. Parking is available on both streets. To reach the Community Center from Placida Road (Hwy. 775), turn west onto Cape Haze Drive. At the traffic circle, take the first right (heading north) onto Spaniards Rd. The Community Center will be just ahead on your left. Refreshments will be available at 5:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:00 p.m.
LBC member and volunteer Rob Robbins, a marine biologist, has scheduled four outstanding speakers on interesting and important topics related to our beautiful, but fragile, local ecosystems. Be sure to check our calendar for additional monthly sessions through April 2024.
