National Police Week

Police Week is coming up May 14-20 and I am asking for your church/business/group to consider helping to treat our law enforcement members during that week. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is looking for your group to “Adopt An Office”, providing drinks and snacks to our on-duty members at an office location one day during the week. They will have a cooler and ice available at each location each day (unless you bring your own) to ice down individual drinks and a tray or basket to display snacks in the break room. As members come into the office throughout their shift (whether day or night), they will have a drink and snack available to them courtesy of our community.

Deputies, detectives, and admin staff are always so blown away with the kindness provided to them during this week. Please talk it over with your staff/members and let me know if you would be willing to participate this year. We have offices of all sizes, from 10 members to 75 members. Once confirmed of participation, I will provide you with the contact information of the office manager to set up delivery details.

They also have a couple of units who are not based out of an office and would like to have grab-n-go bags made for those members. Please let me know if you would be more willing to make those instead or in addition to the offices.

Below is a list of most liked items that are requested for filling coolers and snack trays in our break rooms. You are welcome to include anything further and personalize in whatever way you’d like. As a note, our members cannot accept anything monetary, including gift cards, unless it is a donation to the Office. If you would like to make a donation in honor of a specific member or unit, please get with me as those funds will need to go through our Finance division.

Feel free to reach out with any questions, and I look forward to working together to give appreciation to our men and women in green.
