Grande Reopening Gasparilla Island Lighthouse!

We are delighted at Barrier Island Parks Society, BIPS, to announce the Grande Reopening at Gasparilla Island Lighthouse! Join us for this exciting event and enjoy your BIPS History Climb Tour at a special discounted price of $10 per adult and $5 kids 6yrs. and younger – must be 48″ tall to climb. Join us with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Englewood Chamber of Commerce at 9:45 a.m. Climbs begin at 10 a.m. with climbs every 20 minutes until 2 p.m. weather permitting. Be the first person of the day to climb the 134 spiral steps! Take a walk in our 7.4 acres of trails! Don’t miss our “Pop-UP” Shops full of one of a kind merchandise! All climb fees and merchandise purchases go directly to support our historic lighthouses. Bring your family and friends and enjoy this historic treasure at its Grande Reopening, Boca Grande style. Please note a few safety rules to climb:
Must be 48″ or taller to climb; babies are not allowed inside
No heels or flip flops; please wear sensible climbing shoes
Large backpacks and purses cannot be carried inside
No commercial photography or drones
No wet clothing; swimwear must be covered with clothing
All climbs are weather permitting and can be cancelled due to inclement weather or high winds
