“As the Musical Turns: A Soap Inspiration” with Emmy nominee Colleen Zenk and Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award Winner Michael R. Jackson, Friday, October 21 @ 6pm: Colleen Zenk, the multiple Emmy Award nominee who portrayed “helpless victim” transformed into “scheming villain” Barbara Ryan in CBS’s long-running soap opera As the World Turns will be joining this Zoom program with Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Hermitage Fellow Michael R. Jackson! In “As the Musical Turns: A Soap Inspiration,” Michael will discuss how his new musical satire White Girl in Danger was inspired by the soap opera genre that Zenk was a leading figure in for over 30 years. White Girl in Danger will have an Off-Broadway production with Second Stage Theater and The Vineyard Theater in early 2023 – don’t miss your chance to get the inside scoop now.
