Fish Fry at Gulf Cove UMC

Gulf Cove United Methodist Church invites you to a Fish Fry on Friday, August 19, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The meal includes hand-breaded fish, French fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, roll, & dessert. You can dine-in (includes a beverage) or drive-thru. A vegetarian option of tortellini in alfredo sauce is also available. This is a fundraiser for the church’s two sister churches in Cuba (Nicaro and Frank Pais), where grocery store shelves are often empty by mid-month. Advance tickets cost $15 ($5 for children under 12); at the door, tickets are $16 and $6. Tickets can be obtained from the church office from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Gulf Cove UMC (941-697-1747) is located at 1100 S. McCall Road, Port Charlotte, just ¾ mile south of the Myakka River on State Road 776.
