Live Music: Alex Ross & Mojo Revival

Alex Ross and the Mojo Revival is a Sarasota-based 4-piece band which plays swinging jazz-influenced Blues music. Some of the artists covered include Mose Allison, Jimmy Smith, Miles Davis, the Beatles, Herbie Hancock, Traffic, and a handful of originals. Influences include the classic 60s Hammond B-3 players, such as Jimmy Smith and Groove Holmes, and the band also performs vocal renditions of Mose Allison piano standards and reharmonized Blues classics. We will also have a special guest playing with us this Friday evening: Master of the Hammond B-3, Michael Hensley, currently touring with national Blues recording artist, Annika Chambers.
