As part of EAC’s Destination Gulf Coast season, internationally renowned nature photographer and local Gulf Coast resident Clyde Butcher will be at EAC for a book signing an Photography talk on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Doors open at 6 pm. His exhibition Nature: Places of Spiritual Sancutuary will be on view in the Mitchell Gallery, January 7 – March 8, 2017. The book signing and photgraphy talk is a ticketed event.
Clyde Butcher’s photography career has spanned more than 50 years. His work has been exhibited world wide and he has received numerous awards and accolades, including receiving the highest honor of Florida bestows on a private citizen, The Florida Hall of Fame Award. He is also the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the North American Nature Photography Association, the Distinguished Artist Award from teh Florida House Embassy (Washington D.C.) and the Ansel Adams Conservation Award from the Sierra Club. He is truly a great creative and conservationist treasure of the Gulf Coast and EAC looks forward to the opportunity to show his exceptional photographs in Englewood.
