“MAKING GOD LAUGH”

LEMON BAY PLAYHOUSE PRESENTS “MAKING GOD LAUGH” For the final production of its very successful 29th season, the Lemon Bay Playhouse will present Making God Laugh, by Sean Grennan. Directed by Ron Bupp, it will open on June 8 and run through June 26, 2016. This touching, yet funny play takes us smoothly through several years of holidays with a typical American family. The mother, father and three grown children all have hopes and dreams. As time passes the family discovers that, despite what we may have in mind, we often arrive at unexpected destinations. While enjoying this play, Ron, the director of this Grennan comedy, feels that many of you in our audience will perhaps recognize members of your own family as you watch this show. This performance will take you through 30 years in the history of the life of a middle class American family. The story is told through the visits of the grown children as they return home to visit mom and dad on traditional holidays. Come on out to see this dramedy and discover how mistaken so many of us can be about the future. As Woody Allen once said “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” Information and tickets are available online at www.lemonbayplayhouse.com or by visiting or calling the Box Office at (941) 475-6756 between 10:00am and 2:00pm weekdays and one hour prior to curtain time.
