LBTD Club In-Shore Off-Shore Fishing Tournament

The Lemon Bay Touchdown Club’s 2015 In-Shore Off-Shore Fishing Tournament will be Aug. 7-8 at Gasparilla Marina in Placida. Payout is $12,000 based on 70 boats for this fourth-annual tournament.
Anglers will fish for grouper and snapper and a mystery fish in the off-shore division. In-shore fishermen will go for redfish, trout and a mystery fish. Cost per boat is $350 for up to four anglers. Additional anglers are $75 apiece. Entry includes high-quality fishing shirts for each angler, a goody bucket and dinner at the weigh-in.
A mandatory captain’s meeting is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 at the marina, 15001 Gasparilla Rd, Placida. Food and beer will be provided. Off-shore fishermen may begin fishing following the meeting. In-shore fishermen will fish on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Tournament officials seeking sponsors at various levels. All proceeds benefit the Lemon Bay Manta Ray football team.
