“Just Neighbors”

St. David’s Church is located behind the Sav-a -Lot and Beall’s Outlet shopping center – home of the Jubilee Center. “Just Neighbors” meets there every fourth Tuesday of the month to share community resources and inform the Englewood area of problems and needs of families and elderly in the area.

This month our speaker will be Ryan McBride, Executive Director of S.U.R.E. (Sarasota United for Responsibility and Equity). S.U.R.E. is a Justice Ministry that calls for transformation of systems to be fair and just for all rather than a Mercy Ministry that treat people in time of crisis with food, tutoring, shelter, clothes, etc. The theory behind Sure is Strength in Numbers. S.U.R.E. has been effective in the city of Sarasota for several years now and we hope to extend that effectiveness to the South County area. Whether you are in Sarasota or Charlotte area of Englewood you can be an effective voice toward our needs.
