The Kids’ Fun Run starts at 8:30 (Registration at 8:00 AM) at the intersection of McCall Road and Dearborn Streets on the day of the parade (Labor Day, Monday September 1st). For ages 17 and under (smaller children can bring an adult) participants in this free event run to Old Englewood Road and back (approximately one mile total distance) in exchange for a popsicle and water to cool them down, a goodie bag, and, of course, everyone is a winner just for trying and gets to sport their own medallion for being in the Fun Run.
